“I just wanted to express what
a fabulous time we’ve had over
the summer holidays across all
Explore libraries. We booked
onto all sorts of different sessions
as well as the summer reading
challenge and have loved every
one of them! Thank you for
being a big part of our summer
holidays.”
Holiday activities for
children and families
During every school holiday we offer highquality, low-cost activities, and these are a
lifeline for families. Our summer activities
for children also encourage participation in
the Summer Reading Challenge. We secured
funding to provide 112 separate events,
including 29 events funded by HAF (Holidays
and Food).
Challenging imaginations

Our regular weekly programme includes
Storytimes, Lego Clubs, Readers Groups,

“I wanted to take a moment to
express my heartfelt gratitude for
the opportunity to complete my
work experience at the library.
Everyone was incredibly kind and
supportive, making my experience
truly enjoyable and enriching. Your
guidance, patience, and willingness
to share your knowledge have been
invaluable to me. I am grateful
for the opportunity to learn from
such dedicated and inspiring
individuals.”
