Future Libraries: a new
Explore Centre for Clifton
Clifton Explore opened on 23 September 2024. The new library
offers a range of programmes, activities and spaces for local
community groups to meet.
Regular activities include under 5
storytimes, Lego and craft clubs, Boccia
sessions and book groups, along with a
programme of pop-up information events
from health and wellbeing organisations.
Room hire and the Reading Café at the
centre are proving to be successful sources
of income for Explore. Partners are now
making use of all the spaces available for
rent and customer feedback about the new
space has been overwhelmingly positive.
Book issues have gone up 50%
1,028
new members joined in 2024-25
compared with 278 in 2023-24.
