Securing the
foundations and facing
future challenges
2024 marked a turning point for
Explore, as we launched a new
strategic plan to guide us through
the next three years, focused on
strengthening our foundations
and ensuring we stay true to
our values, while reaching more
people and adapting to change
At the heart of our plan is sustainability –
not just environmental, but organisational.
We aim to thrive, not merely survive. That
means remaining entrepreneurial, seeking
opportunities, and staying grounded in what
matters most.
Getting the basics right
Staffing represents 60% of our costs, so ensuring fair and sustainable pay is critical. This
year we developed a new job evaluation and pay framework, shaped with expert input and in
collaboration with our staff advisory group.
We’ve also taken the first steps to measure our environmental impact. We’re establishing a
baseline for emissions, recycling, plastics and water use, with initial results due in June 2025.
We’re aiming for a 1% carbon reduction this year.
