Viva our volunteers!
Our volunteers help Explore turn community ambition into action.
They give their time, skills and local knowledge so people across York
can learn, connect, create and thrive.
This year, 650 volunteers supported 25 roles
across youth programmes, public services,
behind-the-scenes work, Board membership
and specialist projects. Their understanding
of York helps us shape services around
genuine community needs and build stronger
foundations for the future.

Thank you to every volunteer. Explore thrives
because you show what a community-owned
cultural organisation can achieve when people
work together with care, purpose and pride.
